Wedding season is now upon us!
Will you be playing for any weddings this summer? I am expecting this season to be quite busy, since many weddings were postponed last year due to restrictions on large gatherings.
If you are playing for a wedding this season, take a look at a few of my favorite wedding-appropriate arrangements. These arrangements range from intermediate to early advanced level--perfect for us busy gigging pianists, or even our more advanced students!
Read on to see and hear the music!
This "modern Romantic" version of the famous wedding piece would be a nice alternative to the traditional version. Sheet music HERE.
This lovely song is a wedding favorite and would work well as a non-traditional processional. Sheet music HERE.
"Stand By Me" is a lovely wedding selection, and this lyrical arrangement would fit right in with more classical selections during a wedding ceremony. Sheet music HERE.
"What a Wonderful World" is another wedding classic, and this lyrical arrangement sounds lush without being overly difficult to play. Sheet music HERE.
This classic Elvis song from the film "Blue Hawaii" is a wedding staple that would work well for prelude music or even as a processional. Sheet music HERE.
You may not be familiar with this little gem, also sung by Elvis Presley in the film "Blue Hawaii," but this traditional Hawaiian wedding song is a beautiful little piece that would be perfect for a theme wedding! Sheet music HERE.
Finally, "Over the Rainbow" is a classic that is appropriate for many occasions. This arrangement, which draws a bit of inspiration from Chopin's famous "Nocturne in Eb major," is super special. Sheet music HERE.
