Read on to see some of my favorite anime arrangements for beginning to intermediate students!
If you are familiar with anime music (or have students who are) you've probably heard of Studio Ghibli. This Japanese film studio has released some of the most enduring anime films out there, including "My Neighbor Totoro," "Howl's Moving Castle," and the Academy Award-winning film "Spirited Away."
The composer behind the music for most of the Studio Ghibli films is Joe Hisaishi. With lovely melodies and lush harmonies, Hisaishi's music works well for the piano and can be rewarding for students to play.
