Is anime music popular in your studio?

Whether you are an anime fan yourself, or just looking for a good resource for accessible arrangements from this genre, I've got you covered!

Read on to see some of my favorite anime arrangements for beginning to intermediate students!

1. "Studio Ghibli" arrangements
If you are familiar with anime music (or have students who are) you've probably heard of Studio Ghibli. This Japanese film studio has released some of the most enduring anime films out there, including "My Neighbor Totoro," "Howl's Moving Castle," and the Academy Award-winning film "Spirited Away."

The composer behind the music for most of the Studio Ghibli films is Joe Hisaishi. With lovely melodies and lush harmonies, Hisaishi's music works well for the piano and can be rewarding for students to play. Here are a few of my favorites from Hisaishi's catalog (click on the level to see the sheet music):

2. Classic anime series
Next we have a few classic anime series that still remain popular. If your students are anime fans, they'll probably recognize and enjoy any of these anime themes:
