Wow, 2021 has gone by in a flash!
As the year comes to a close, I am recapping 10 of my most popular new releases, articles, teaching tips, and free resources from the past year. Maybe these will provide some inspiration for you in the new year ahead!
Read on to see my top ten resources from 2021....
One of the most common questions I am asked is how I got started publishing my own music. If you have ever wondered about the process of publishing your own music (or that of your students) this blog article is a great resource!
2. 2 Minute Teaching Tip: Circle of Fifths
I received lots of positive feedback on this teaching tip video of how I use the piano keyboard to introduce the circle of fifths and the 12 major scales to my students.

3. "First Perfect Patterns" collection
The easiest collection in my popular "Perfect Patterns" series was released this year! If you are looking for fun, pattern-based pieces for your beginning students that will help them to develop both their technique and reading skills, this collection is a must-have!
This year I also had the opportunity to release my first-ever collection of Minecraft music! If you have students who are fans of the popular video game, you'll definitely want to check it out!
5. Fun First Lesson Activities for Beginners
This blog article on my favorite first lesson activities for new students was a hit! Feel free to use these resources if you have new students joining your studio in January!

6. "More Spooky Classical Favorites" collection
Do your students love playing pieces in minor keys? This second volume in my "Spooky Classical Favorites" series includes some of my all-time favorite classical pieces in minor keys, arranged for late elementary to early intermediate students.
Back in September, I shared these three worksheets I use with my students to work on practice skills. I loved reading your comments on how you help your students to practice more creatively too!
8. Over 500 arrangements at Musicnotes!
I hit an exciting milestone this fall when I officially surpassed 500 arrangements at Musicnotes! I've been so thankful to partner with Musicnotes and continue to grow my catalog of popular copyrighted titles there. Check out my Signature Artist page to see what I've been up to!
9. New and improved YouTube channel
I made quite a few improvements to my YouTube channel this year that I hope will make it easier to navigate! Read about the updates HERE.
Finally, I was thrilled to be invited to do not one, but two podcast interviews this past year! If you want to hear more about me and my music, check out my interviews with Ben Kapilow of "All Keyed Up" and Shelly Davis of "Piano Parent Podcast."
So, that's my year in review! Many thanks to all of you for your continued support of my music and my little blog here. I appreciate each and every one of you!
Best wishes to you and your students for a fabulous 2022!
