One of my favorite "end of the school year" activities is to help my students create a repertoire list of their very favorite pieces from the past year. It really gives students a sense of accomplishment to see all of the fun music they have learned how to play!
This is also a great activity for students who will be taking a break from lessons over the summer, as it gives them lots of pieces that they know well that they can continue to review and share with friends and family over their break. Today I am sharing two free "Repertoire Challenge" coloring pages that you can use with your students this summer, too! Have your students write in the names of their favorite pieces, then color the page each time they review their repertoire. How many colors can they add to their page by the end of the summer? Happy May, everyone! To kick off the month, Piano Pronto is offering a FREE copy of "Boppin' the Boardwalk," the first single from my new "Easy Rockin' the Classics" collection, now until May 5th! This creative take on the famous "Minuet in G" is perfect for summer and will be a hit with late elementary to early intermediate students of all ages! Click HERE to get your free copy before May 5th. You can also get the unlimited studio license for this piece for just $7 all month long! My "Musicianship Monthly" series will be taking a bit of a hiatus this summer--however, I wanted to share a fun way to help your students keep those musicianship skills fresh, even if they aren't attending regular lessons! (Want to learn more about Musicianship Monthly and see past activities? Click HERE!) Click "read more" to see my free summer review challenge calendars, which feature one short, piano-related challenge for each day in June, July, and August! |
