1. Help students set their own goals for the new year.

This handy printable combines two of my favorite "first lesson of the year" activities: reviewing repertoire and setting goals for the new year.

This sheet gives your students a place to list their favorite pieces from the previous semester, as well as to brainstorm a "wish list" of new pieces and/or musical goals that they have for their lessons for the coming months.

Get your combination Repertoire List and Wish List printable HERE.

2. Help students refresh their practice skills.
If your students are diving into new repertoire this month, it is a perfect time to revisit the art of practicing!

The printables below will help remind your students of how to break down and practice their new pieces, as well as give them practical strategies they can use when learning any new piece of music.

Click on the images below to get your free copies of any of these printables.
